Legal Requirements to Homeschooling in MB
Parents who choose to homeschool their children must notify Manitoba Education of their intent by completing and signing a Student Notification Form for each child. The name, date of birth, grade level, the school or school division the child would otherwise attend, and an outline of the education program are required. The Student Notification Form must be completed annually for each student and submitted by September 1st or 30 days after establishing your homeschool. Parents must also submit Progress Reports in January and June. Student Notification Forms and Progress Reports are to be submitted annually for each child.
The 2021-2022 Homeschooling Notification Package is available. You may open the link and print the forms or contact the Homeschooling Office to have the package mailed to you. Please contact the Homeschooling Office for any further information.
